Leonardo Da Vinci was born in 1452 and then died in 1519 in Venice. He was an Italian Renaissance man and he was so intelligent. He was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writer. He was famous for his works as an artist. He had knowledge in many, different areas. He was one of the creative minds of the Italian Renaissance. He invented/designed lots of the important things. Some of the Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions are The Helicopter, Flying Machine, Triple Barrel Canon and the Clock. Leonardo has often been described as the archetype of the Renaissance Man. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. When he was 14 he began apprenticing with the artist Verrocchio. During his lifetime Leonardo was valued as an engineer. For much of his life, Leonardo was fascinated about flying. He produced many studies of his several flying machines, including the flying machine and the helicopter in his book called Codex Atlanticus. The book has all of his designs and ideas of his inventions. He also wrote lots of notes in the book.
