Robotic Knight
In the year 1495, Leonardo Da Vinci designed the Robot knight found in his book Codex Antlanticus. Leonardo da Vinci designed the idea of the Robotic Knight because he was eager to know about the human anatomy and spent long hours dissecting corpses in order to understand how the human body works. Unlike Leonardo Da Vinci’s invention, he himself built the Robotic knight. The Robotic Knight was only used for entertainment at parties by his wealthy patron Lodovico Sforza. But the Robotic knight did not survived and no one knows what it was capable of doing. The only things that the robotic knight could do were to sit, walk and even work its jaw. In 2002, robotic expert which was Mark Rosheim used Leonardo Da Vinci’s design of the Robotic Knight from the Codex Antlanticus and he started to build robots for planetary exploration.
